Bipolar Disorder

Everyone experiences mood swings to some degree, from time to time. However, for people with Bipolar disorder, also called manic-depressive illness, they will experience sudden, severe mood swings, switching from very good states of mind to very irritable or depressed states of mind very quickly. The symptoms of Bipolar disorder can lead to damaged relationships, poor job or school performance, and even suicide.

Bipolar disorder is most likely to develop in the late teens and early twenties – generally before 25 years of age, although symptoms can also appear later in life or during childhood. Unfortunately, Bipolar disorder is difficult to identify when it starts as the symptoms often appear as separate conditions, leaving some people to suffer for years before being diagnosed and treated.

However, bipolar disorder is treatable and manageable, allowing people with the illness to lead full, productive lives.

Southwest Neurofeedback offers state-of-the art treatment for Bipolar Disorder and manic-depressive conditions, helping people manage their disorder and enjoy a normal life and routine.
